Following on from Katy Perry’s visit this week to launch the Australian leg of her Prismatic World Tour and due to overwhelming demand, the pop superstar has just announced an extra five brand new shows to her planned November run of concerts.
An extra show has now been added, each in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. The tour is in support of Katy’s hit album Prism, which debuted at number one in Australia and has since been certified triple platinum. The album has given Perry her biggest ever single in Australia with Roar currently certified 9 times Platinum.
Katy Perry was recently in the country to promote the upcoming tour and managed to find some solid goof-around time, appearing on Channel 7’s Sunrise to deliver a hilarious, mispronunciation-laden weather report. The star endearingly referred to Hobart as Hogwarts. Check it out below.
Facebook, Dainty Group and Citi Australia pre-sale tickets to all shows will be on sale from 1pm today, Friday 7th March. General public tickets will be on sale Tuesday, 11th March, at 12pm.
