ORIGINAL STORY: Sydney producer Flume has won his first-ever Grammy Award for his latest album Skin, which has taken out Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Skin beat out albums by the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, Tycho and Louie Vega to claim the Best Dance/Electronic Album award. Flume now joins an illustrious list of previous winners, which includes the likes of Daft Punk, Aphex Twin and Skrillex.

Flume’s Hottest 100-winning track ‘Never Be Like You’ was also nominated for the Best Dance Recording Grammy, but lost to ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ by The Chainsmokers.

Flume is currently preparing to release a new EP this coming Friday.

The 2017 Grammy Awards’ main ceremony begins at 12pm AEDT today. Catch the full list of nominees, right here.
