Foo Fighters Fans Fuming After Long Queues Delay Melbourne Show

Foo Fighters fans have been left fuming after long queues delayed the start of the band’s Melbourne show on Tuesday night by around 30 minutes.

Some ticket-holders were forced to queue from Etihad Stadium back to the LaTrobe and Spencer Street intersection due to “increased security measures” which the band reportedly requested at the venue, and some fans didn’t take it too well…

“[Foo Fighters] requested additional security so we’re following their security protocol because fan safety is paramount,” an Etihad Stadium spokesperson told News Corp Australia.

“The lines are definitely long but we’re moving them through quickly.”

While Etihad Stadium says all gates were cleared when the concert began at 8pm, fans have also criticised public transport delays following the show.

Foo Fighters’ Melbourne show was the final date on their 2018 Australian tour, which also included gigs in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane and Sydney.

Music Feeds contributor Shane Pinnegar called the band’s Perth show “magnificent”, and said the concert left the crowd with “a lot of laughs, and hoarse throats from singing along to their favourites all night long”.

The Perth show also saw frontman Dave Grohl shut down a fan who rushed the stage, while the band’s Brisbane concert saw him invite a fan up onto the stage to play guitar on ‘Monkey Wrench’.
