Foo Fighters Will Be Seeing Us “Sooner Than You Think”

Foo Fighters have dropped another hint at a forthcoming Australian tour in a post to their official Facebook page. The group teased a potential Australian appearance while announcing that Australian residents can now pre-order a season to pass to the band’s new documentary series, Sonic Highways.

According to the post, Australian residents, who previously had no legitimate way of seeing the band’s highly anticipated new HBO series, which documents the recording of their upcoming eighth album, can pre-order a season pass via iTunes, with new episodes available every week beginning 19th October.

However, despite news that would make any Foos fan excited, it’s the band’s send-off that has fans Down Under chomping at the bit for information. Before leaving Aussie die-hards with some warm hugs and kisses, the band write, “Can’t wait to see you,” before adding, “it’s sooner than you think.”

The band sent their Aussie fans into a tailspin back in May when they took to Facebook to address their “AU/NZ pals” and let them know that its been “WAYYY too long”. The band also implored Aussie and NZ fans to sign up to the Foos fan page, “’cause you never know where/when the Foo’s may show up.”

The post was then re-shared by promoters Frontier Touring via their own social media channels and came after a May 2013 report in the Adelaide Advertiser, which indicated that Foo Fighters were among the names being courted to return to Australia to play a show at the newly refurbished Adelaide Oval. Other names mentioned in the report included The Rolling Stones, who kick off their Australian tour this month.
