Boorloo/Perth-based trio Fool Nelson have returned with a new slice of indie-rock dubbed ‘Don’t Feel Right’ and a big announcement: their first ever national headline tour.
Following a spot on the lineup on Victorian camping festival NYE On The Hill to cap off 2024, the band will rip into 2025 with an expansive lap of the country this February and March, taking in eight stops across Adelaide, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Newcastle, plus Margaret River, Albany and Fremantle in their native WA.
Fool Nelson – ‘Don’t Feel Right’
Until now, the band have focused their live energy on Western Australia, notching up a sold out regional tour across the state earlier this year.
Produced and mixed by Andy Lawson (Noah Dillon, Mitch Santiago), ‘Don’t Feel Right’ is a vibrant, hook-laden dose of indie-rock with an uplifting message.
“‘Don’t Feel Right’ is about not taking the people around you for granted,” the band explain in a press statement. “It touches on the idea of growing apart from friends and forgetting about how important certain people are in your life. It’s been a pretty crazy year for us, lots of ‘firsts’ and some awesome opportunities.”
They continue: “It’s definitely been a lot more touring than we’ve ever done. We’re super excited to be doing our first ever headline Australian tour finally. It’s a big effort to do coming from WA, but now that we’ve got a bit of a taste for it, we’re definitely keen to keep the ball rolling with playing as many shows around the country as we can!”
