Forbes’ List Of 2015’s Highest Paid DJs Will Make You Question Your Career Decisions

Calvin Harris remains the undisputed king of EDM, topping Forbes’ list of the highest paid DJs for 2015.

The magazine’s annual list of ‘Electronic Cash Kings’ has just been unveiled, accompanied by the kind of figures that will snap your sense of self worth like a glowstick.

Scottish producer Harris raked in a cool $66 million over the past year, which is more than the gross domestic product of Tuvalu, to nab the number 1 spot on the magazine’s list for the second year in a row.

“The rise of dance music has been astronomical… I happened to be in the right place at the right time,” Harris told Forbes, self-depreciatingly.

Taylor Swift’s boyfy’s net worth was, in fact, nearly double the next-highest earning DJ on the list, David Guetta, at $37 million.

While finishing third on the podium was Dutch DJ Tiesto to the tune of $36 mill, followed by Steve Aoki and Skrillex tied at fourth with $24 million apiece.

It was also a tie for the wooden spoon, with Deadmau5 and Diplo sitting together on the bottom rung of the ladder, earning a paltry $15 million each.

It’s stats like these that make you question why you spent four years of your life slaving away at uni and racking up tens of thousands of dollars worth of debt.

Must. Fight. Urge. To. Quit. Job. And. Buy. Set. Of. Turntables.
