Future Music Festival Unveils Cocoon Stage And Adds Two More International Acts

Capping off a week of massive announcements, it seems the guys at Future Music Festival have saved the best for last. Not only have organisers announced the triumphant return of the beloved Cocoon Stage, they’ve also confirmed that the site will be inhabited by two of the scene’s most respected internationals – Seth Troxler and Green Velvet.

The pair will be playing the stage alongside techno veteran Sven Vath, who’s back at Future this year for his seventh year running. Arguably the world’s leading techno pioneer, Vath says he’s looking forward to what has become an annual highlight for him.

“There is nothing quite like being on the road in Australia,” he said in a statement. “The crowds, the colleagues, the fantastic locations. I took some time off after the New Year and there can be no better way to kickstart 2015 than joining you all at FUTURE.”

Leaders of the French underground Shonky, Dan Ghenacia, and Dyed Soundorom – aka Apollonia – as well as Canadian power-house duo Art Department round out the bill for the Cocoon stage, which organisers are talking up as THE underground party on site. The five-strong lineup will then be bolstered by a handful of unique local acts in each city, apart from Adelaide, where the five main acts will be distributed across different stages throughout the day. In the meantime, eager punters looking to score the cheapest tickets are being advised to get in quick. Second release tix are reportedly almost sold out and the Future head honchos are tipping prices to rise “very very soon”.
