After a string of super successful demos that found their way onto FBi Radio and triplej‘s playlists, Sydney outfit Gang Of Youths have unveiled their first official single, the ethereal and uplifting Evangelists.
Gang Of Youths are a band with a bit of mystery surrounding them, with the outfit forming in 2012 “out of necessity and escapism”. Evangelists, which was co-produced by Jack Moffitt from The Preatures, is one hell of a debut track, with some big melodies and smoky vocals that sounds like what would happen if The Killers went a bit rogue and wound up in a sharehouse in Chippendale.
The band will be hitting the road with Cloud Control for their national tour this month and next, and it may be your last chance to see them in the flesh for some time – perhaps for good – with plans to relocate to the USA looming large. Evangelist will be available to purchase online from Friday, 16th August.
