George Clinton And Parliament-Funkadelic Announce 2025 Australian Tour

George Clinton & Parliament-Funkadelic are heading back to Australia for a run of four east-coast shows in September 2025. It will mark the band’s first visit in over six years, having last toured the country in 2019 – where, in addition to playing their own headlining shows, they also played several unannounced support slots opening for the Red Hot Chili Peppers on their national tour. The full list of tour dates, as well as pre-sale and ticketing information, can be found below.

“We have a blast every time we come to Australia,” said George Clinton himself in a press statement announcing the tour. “Aussies know what it means to have a good time. The national motto should be ‘free your mind and your ass will follow’. My band has been funkin’ real hard lately… you don’t wanna miss what we be throwin’ down. Come on out and get funked up!”

Funkadelic – ‘Cosmic Slop’

Parliament-Funkadelic – the hybrid collective of Clinton’s two previous bands, Parliament and Funkadelic –first toured Australia in 2005 as part of that year’s Bluesfest. The band performed two sets, including one that is infamous for being one of the only instances that the festival has pulled the plug on a band – by that point, Clinton and co. had performed for nearly five hours straight.
