The inaugural Gingerfest mini-festival, set to take place in Sydney this December, has expanded its artist lineup with a second batch of punk-rock acts, including The Snowdroppers, Anchors (pictured), Chris Duke & The Royals, The Decline and Steel City All Stars.
Gingerfest 2014 has now become an impressively large mini-festival, with eight new acts being added to the 11-strong original lineup. Sydney six-piece Chris Duke & The Royals will bring their unique brand of party-punk to Gingerfest, joined by Melbourne melodic punk outfit Anchors, Perth skate-punk revivalists The Decline, the ska-punking Steel City All Stars and blues rockers The Snowdroppers.
The acoustic stage at Gingerfest 2014 has also welcomed the addition of folk-punk musician Isaac Graham, Wollongong punk group Lost In Line, as well as Andy ‘The Mad Dog’ McDougall.
Gingerfest will raise funds for Vision Australia in the name of late Canberra fan Nicholas ‘The Ginger Ninja’ Sofer-Schreiber, who was tragically murdered in 2013. Nicholas was a much-loved member of the Canberra punk rock scene, and his closest friends have joined together to raise funds in his name, through Gingerfest.
The first Gingerfest lineup announcement included local punk talents such as 28 Days, Lindsay ‘The Doctor’ McDougall, Born Lion, Totally Unicorn, and more. View the full lineup and event ticket details, below.
