Now in its third year, Gingerfest, one of the greatest punk rock mini-festivals in recent memory, has unveiled a lineup of top-shelf punk acts who are set to wreak havoc in Canberra this November.
Leading the charge will be skate punk ne’er-do-wells Clowns (pictured), fresh from a stint abroad and no doubt ready to flex their newfound tour muscles for their Aussie fans. Grenadiers have also been confirmed, having emerged from the studio where they’ve been attempting sample bong sounds like goddamn national heroes.
The lineup covers all quadrants of the punk universe, with ska bros Chris Duke & The Royals, acoustic two-piece Tom & Russell and the unpredictable Sketch Method. The audience can take a break from head-banging and have a cheeky laugh with comedian Nick Cody, too.
Gingerfest is held in memory of the ‘Ginger Ninja’, Nicholas Sofer-Schreiber, who was tragically murdered in his own apartment in 2013. This year will be particularly special, as the event will coincide with what would be Sofer-Schreiber’s 30th birthday.
All profits from ticket sales will be donated to the Ginger Ninja Foundation. Catch this year’s lineup alongside ticket details, below.
