After spending most of the recent past hard at it in the studio working on their debut self-titled full-length, expected to be released early next year, UK lads Glass Animals have begun drip feeding the release, today unveiling their stunning new single Psylla with the tracks official music video.
Finding a strong connection between artwork and music, main man David Bayley has crafted music that bounds playfully throughout their sparse, lofty soundscape. A little bit psychedelic, a little bit synthy, and a little bit modern edge, the unclassifiable nature of Glass Animals make them one of those bands that music journalists wake up in cold sweats over.
Fortunately for the band, they’ve managed to vibe successfully with Los Angeles-based animator and director Rafael Bonilla Jr who has once again collaborated with the band for the official music video to Psylla. Just as restless as the band, Bonilla has delivered a set of visuals inspired directly from the song, peppered with his own levels of unclassifiable charm.
The band have surrounded themselves with talent and professionalism in all aspects of their music. For their debut LP, Glass Towers worked with acclaimed studio dweller Paul Epworth, shacking up in his London studio to track the bulk of the album. The record will also be released through Epworth’s new label initiative Wolf Tone as the company’s inaugural full-length release.
Psylla will be released as a double single containing album track Woozy on Friday, 15th November.
