Good Things Organisers Guarantee Festival Will Return In 2025

Stress less mosh fiends, Good Things festival isn’t going anywhere. While the Aussie festival landscape remains tenuous, with annual mainstream events Splendour In The Grass and Groovin The Moo both about to spend their second year running MIA from the calendar amid rough economic conditions, it seems heavy music festivals are continuing to thrive.

In the wake of fan concerns, the organisers of Good Things have been quick to confirm that the punk, rock and metal extravaganza will be back in action this year.

“We’re not going anywhere.”

“2024 was another incredible year for us,” Destroy All Lines top dog Chris O’Brien told Rolling Stone AU/NZ. “Our market proves that if we deliver quality line-ups and a great day out, people will keep showing up. But we don’t take that support for granted. We know we have to maintain the rage and keep things exciting.”

The festival’s success this past December came despite Sum 41, the second-billed act on a massive lineup headlined by Korn, being forced to pull out of the fest at the last minute after frontman Deryck Whibley was hospitalised with pneumonia in Brisbane, shortly after arriving in Australia.

O’Brien continued: “I can guarantee that Good Things will be back in 2025. We’re not going anywhere.”

Destroy All Lines are also the presenters of Knotfest Australia, which is set to once again get pits erupting across the East Coast at the end of this month. The 2025 edition of that festival will be headlined by Slipknot, and you can suss the official set times right here.
