Alternative artist grandson has announced his debut Australian tour dates. The Canadian singer will land in the country at the beginning of February for three headline dates on the east coast: in Brisbane on Thursday, 1st February, Sydney on Saturday, 3rd February, and finally Melbourne on Sunday, 4th February.
The shows will be the final leg of grandson’s ‘I Love You, I’m Trying’ tour, which is supporting his latest album of the same name. The album was grandson’s second, following 2020’s Death of an Optimist.
grandson: ‘Something To Hide’
“After too many long years and a gold record, we are finally bringing this rock and roll symphony to Australia and New Zealand for the final leg of the ILYIT world tour,” grandson shared in a statement. “Making movies, taking shoeys. It’s a dream come true for me and we will bring everything we have with us to these shows.”
Grandson broke out courtesy of two well-received EPs – a modern tragedy vol. 1 and vol. 2 – and the multi-platinum 2017 single ‘Blood // Water’.
