Graphic Video Shows Suge Knight’s Alleged Hit And Run

Video footage has emerged which allegedly shows rap mogul Suge Knight running over two men with his truck in a Compton, Los Angeles car park, killing one of them. Knight is currently being held without bail on murder and felony hit-and-run charges.

The graphic video was posted on TMZ overnight. According to TMZ, the video shows Knight driving a red truck on January 29th in the Compton carpark where he allegedly runs over Cle “Bone” Sloan and Terry Carter, following some sort of altercation during the filming of the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton.

One of the men, 55-year-old actor Terry Carter, was killed. The other, Cle “Bone” Sloan, survived with injuries.

According to TMZ, the video was published at the behest of Carter’s family. “The Carter family is pleased you are releasing the video so the public can see what actually occurred and not be forced to speculate based on third party descriptions of the video,” the family’s lawyer Gary Dordick said.

Knight has admitted that he was behind the wheel when the incident occurred but claims he was acting in self-defence after he was assaulted. Reports Reuters, Knight’s lawyer Matthew Fletcher claims the video proves this.

“When you’re attacked…you have every right to defend yourself,” he said. “There’s no duty to retreat, there’s no duty to hide or cower. You have the right to leave.” He adds that the video also shows a third man removing a gun from Sloan, who worked as security on the movie set, as he lay on the ground injured.

The Carter family lawyer Gary Dordick, told CNN the video instead proves Knight’s guilt, showing that he chose to “retaliate” by using his car “as a deadly weapon rather (than) simply driving off to a place of safety”.

Knight was charged with murder and attempted murder following the incident and has pleaded not-guilty to the charges.
