Sad news today, as the organisers behind Sydney music festival The Plot have quietly confirmed the event will not go ahead in 2018.
The Plot took to Twitter today after a member of the public asked the festival whether it was going ahead this year, as we haven’t heard any major news out of the Parramatta-based event.
The Plot replied saying, “We’re sad to say the event will not be taking place this year…”
There is good news, however. The tweet also said that there will be pop-up events in the area, with all being revealed soon.
“…keep an eye on our social channels for news about pop-up events around Sydney in the near future!”
The Plot, run by Cattleyard Promotions (who are also behind Groovin The Moo), launched in 2013, but took a year off in 2014 before returning to the fold in 2015.
The festival quickly became known for securing lineups which were packed to the brim with up-and-coming artists that went on to have huge success. Various alumni include the likes of Alison Wonderland, Tash Sultana and Amy Shark.
Last year’s The Plot lineup included the likes of Northeast Party House, Alex The Astronaut, Odette, Skegss, Dean Lewis, Mallrat, Stella Donnelly and more.
Music Feeds has contacted Cattleyard Promotions for further comment.
