After being forced to postpone their original 2021 dates due to the pandemic, Guns N’ Roses will finally make their way here in November for a stadium tour, marking their first Australian shows since 2017’s Not in This Lifetime world tour.
A few months out from the tour, organisers have revealed who’ll be joining GN’R on the road. It’s a pub-punk double bill that brings together one of the genre’s newest exports and one of its most longstanding titans, with both The Chats and Cosmic Psychos announced as special guests for the shows.
The Chats and Cosmic Psychos to Join Guns N’ Roses on Their Australian Tour Dates
When The Chats play stadiums across the country as part of Gunners’ tour, they’ll be fresh from releasing their second album, Get Fucked, and taking it on the road for their own national tour. They’ve shared two singles from the album thus far – ‘Struck By Lightning’ in March and ‘6L GTR’ in May – with the follow-up to 2020’s High Risk Behaviour set to arrive on Friday, 19th August via The Chats’ own Bargain Bin Records.
Australian rock veterans Cosmic Psychos, meanwhile, released 11th studio album Mountain of Piss last year, after previewing it with its title track and ‘Sin Bin’. It’s the fifth album to feature the band’s current lineup, which consists of frontman Ross Knight, guitarist John McKeering and drummer Dean Muller.
