Guns n’ Roses have announced their Australian headline stadium tour – originally set to take place in November of this year – will move to new dates in November and December 2022 due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
All venues remain the same, and current tickets will be valid for the rescheduled shows. An additional release of tickets for the new dates will also go on sale today via Ticketek.
“We worked for months with the various state governments trying to create a safe environment so that the Guns N’ Roses tour could proceed this year,” commented Paul Dainty, President and CEO of TEG DAINTY in a statement today.
“Despite our best efforts it recently became clear that we could not proceed in 2021 and it has taken time to finalise a plan where we could be confident of completing a national tour of Australia next year. This will be the biggest stadium rock tour of Summer 2022 with hundreds of people on the road, a massive production and logistics involved.
The forthcoming rescheduled dates will mark the band’s first Australian dates since the 2017 leg of their Not in This Lifetime… world tour. It’ll be Aussie fans’ first opportunity to see some of the new material the band have been debuting of late, having released the singles ‘Absurd’ and ‘Hard Skool’ over the last couple of months.
