Guy Sebastian kicked off 2017 by making his debut appearance on triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2016, and now the singer-songwriter has announced a string of new tour dates.
A former Australian Idol winner, Sebastian shifted his sound dramatically in 2016, and has today announced intimate new shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, where he’ll showcase tracks from his forthcoming new album Conscious.
“After being in the studio for the past year, I am excited to share with you what I’ve been working on and bring this new vibe to the stage,” Sebastian says.
“Recently I’ve been putting out more visual content from my most comfortable space, the studio. And with these shows I wanted to capture the rawness of what happens behind the scenes and bring that energy onto the stage. It’s a whole different mind-set.”
Sebastian’s new tour is dubbed the ‘Subconscious’ tour, and will take place in smaller venues than the singer typically performs in.
Conscious, which is due in June, will be the follow-up to Sebastian’s Part One EP, which was released last year. You can hear the album’s title track alongside Sebastian’s upcoming tour dates, below.
Sebastian’s Like A Version performance with Paces reached #56 on triple j‘s Hottest 100 of 2016 in January. Afterwards, the singer hit back at “keyboard warriors” who were throwing shade at his debut appearance on the annual countdown.
