Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Halsey engaged with her 13.9 million followers and shared some intriguing details about the highly anticipated release, the follow-up to her 2021 album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
When asked by a fan for a hint about the new album’s style, Halsey playfully suggested that the music video director would “make everyone flip out.” She also responded to another fan’s query about whether this new era would feature a mix of genres or a more cohesive sound. Her reply? “All over the place,” Halsey explained that she approached this album with a sense of freedom, trying out new ideas and styles that she hadn’t explored before.

The album also reflects Halsey’s personal struggles with health issues, including lupus and endometriosis. She revealed that some of the songs on the album address these challenges. Halsey has previously shared her health journey, including her diagnosis of lupus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder in 2022. Despite these hurdles, she has managed to find stability and is now feeling better, thanks to her doctors.
Halsey expressed her gratitude for music and her fans, stating, “I’m more grateful than ever to have music to turn to. I can’t wait to get back where I belong: With you all singing and screaming my heart out.”
