Here’s The First Footage Of Rami Malek As Freddie Mercury In Upcoming Biopic

Footage has surfaced of actor Rami Malek portraying late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the upcoming biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

The fan-shot video (below) features Malek and his co-stars recreating Queen’s iconic 1985 Live Aid show at London’s Wembley Stadium. Malek can be seen interacting with the crowd, before sitting at a piano to play the song ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

The footage also features Gwilym Lee portraying Queen’s Brian May, Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor and Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon.

Members of Queen, who are executive producers on the film, were also in attendance, and Brian May’s reaction is nothing less than perfect:

Earlier this month, the first photo of Malek portraying Freddie Mercury was published online, stunning fans with the actor’s resemblance to the music icon.

Bohemian Rhapsody is being directed by Bryan Singer, and is set for release on 25th December 2018. Watch footage of Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, below.

The real members of Queen will return to Australia in 2018, for a headline tour with singer Adam Lambert.
