Christmas has come early, with our very own Sia releasing the first song from her forthcoming Christmas album.
If this first track is anything to go by, this isn’t going to be your stock standard Christmas album, with Sia today revealing a funky original called ‘Santa’s Coming For Us,’ which even features some jazz scatting by the talented singer.
The album looks as if it’s set to be choc full of originals, something that she alluded to in an interview this morning with Zane Lowe on Beats 1.
“I thought we had a bit of a shortage of like a good Christmas [music],” said Sia.
“I mean there’s obviously the classics and stuff but anything new I wasn’t vibing that much on it. And so I had thought oh wouldn’t it be nice to do something that I guess that I liked… We did it in two weeks and I couldn’t stop writing new songs. And so I ended up with an original album by accident.”
The full album is due to be released on November 17th, and you can pre-order it from Sia’s website along with a bunch of other exclusive Christmas merch.
