Here’s How Many People Tuned Into The Triple J Hottest 100 This Year

Triple J has just served up some more juicy stats about how many people listened to this year’s Hottest 100.

An insane 3.34 million people tuned in to hear Kendrick Lamar take out the countdown with ‘HUMBLE’, amounting to 19% of Australia’s entire population of 16+ year olds (!!!)

To boot, 30% of 18 to 34-year-old Aussies blasted the Hottest hundo live on Saturday, 27th January, after triple j decided to move the countdown away from Australia Day for the first time in yonkers.

ICYMI: a record-busting 2.35+ million votes were cast in this year’s Hottest 100, suggesting that triple j’s date change hasn’t dimmed the countdown’s popularity one iota.

triple j listeners also helped raise a grand total of $250,000 for AIME during this year’s broadcast, equalling the amount raised the previous year.

Great work everyone.
