Here’s When Radiohead Will Defs Perform Their New Album Live

Material from Radiohead‘s follow-up to 2011’s The King Of Limbs will get its live debut as early as June, with the band’s appearance at Barcelona’s Primavera Sound Festival set to feature a “presentation of the new album”.

Primavera Sound organisers say this year’s festival will see Radiohead present their highly-anticipated new full-length effort for fans, but it’s unclear if the entirety of the new album will be played. Also, the band don’t currently have any other dates ahead of Primavera Sound, but that could still change.

Following their headline appearance at Primavera Sound, Radiohead are booked for Lisbon’s NOS Alive Festival and Switzerland’s OpenAir St.Gallen Festival, which means there’s likely to be a bunch of chances to catch their new tunes in action throughout 2016.

Since last performing live in 2012, Radiohead have been hard at work while also juggling a number of solo projects. In December 2015, frontman Thom Yorke used a solo performance to debut what’s believed to be acoustic versions of new Radiohead songs, which you can check out below along with some mysterious recent Twitter posts from Yorke and Radiohead’s producer Nigel Godrich.

The latest sign that Radiohead’s new album is primed for release was the recent creation of a new company called Dawn Chorus LLC, which is operated by all five band members. The company’s creation follows the pattern seen in previous Radiohead album releases, which have also been preceded by the formation of strange new companies.

Aside from Radiohead, this year’s Primavera Sound lineup also features the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Sigur Rós, PJ Harvey, Tame Impala and The Last Shadow Puppets. The festival kicks off on 1st June.
