Download Festival Australia: 10 Acts We Could See On The 2019 Lineup
-
The Amity Affliction
Amity are the only band to have so far confirmed their place on Download Festival's 2019 Australian lineup, after band members Joel Birch and Ahren Stringer let the news slip during an interview last month. -
Ghost
Earlier this year, the satanical Swedes told Music Feeds they will tour Australia around March 2019, which puts them right on schedule for a possible Download appearance. -
Slayer
The thrash legends have already confirmed their 'Final World Tour' will make its way to Australia in 2019, so an appearance at Download could definitely be on the cards if organisers have the cash. -
Judas Priest
The metal veterans released their new album Firepower in March, but they haven't toured Australia since Soundwave Festival in 2015. They've also played Download Festival before, just not in Australia. -
Megadeth
Music Feeds understands Download organisers tried to secure the metal legends for the 2018 edition of the festival, but missed out. They haven't toured Australia since 2015, so a 2019 appearance makes some sense. -
30 Seconds To Mars
Jared Leto previously said the band would "absolutely" tour Australia in 2018, but at this point in the year that seems unlikely. Could Download be the answer instead? -
Greta Van Fleet
The young American band have already teased Aussie tour plans and could add a dose of old school rock n' roll into the Download lineup. -
Avenged Sevenfold
A7X last performed down under during Soundwave Festival in 2014, and they've since released their 2016 album The Stage without any Aussie tour dates. Let's hope that changes soon enough. -
Halestorm
They've got a new album called Vicious, and it would be awesome to see them for the first time on a major Aussie festival stage. -
Rammstein
It's been over half a decade since Rammstein were down under, so it's about time they brought their gimp-suited, dildo-wielding, fire-scorched antics back to Australia.
