Illy Details Years Of “Malicious” Abuse From Cyber-Stalker

In a long post to Facebook, Australian rapper Illy has detailed “nearly 2 years” of “constant, sustained, malicious abuse from an individual, way beyond standard trolling.”

“Having spent a big chunk of my life somewhat in the public eye, I’m usually pretty thick skinned, and accept that copping abuse comes with the territory,” he opened his post with.

He then goes into some detail on how they acted, with the person allegedly creating over 50 different social media accounts in order to harass him. He says he monitored them “interacting with each other, on multiple platforms, replying to each other’s comments, & sending dm’s.”

As outlined in the post, he speaks to how the cyber-stalker not only targeted him, but the people close to him too.

“This abuse extended to ex partners, my family & friends, the record label I’m signed to, and particularly my girlfriend, her friends, and her business.

“Other than the usual shit, they included lies, publishing addresses, false noise complaints to police, and attempts to harm our careers and personal relationships.”

He says that holding back from retaliating was difficult. “It started effecting my day to day mentality, and that of those around me. Dealing with the damage to self worth, purpose, and career COVID caused, combined with seeing myself and ppl I care about subjected to this poison, has been a lot.”

He reveals in the post that after pursuing police action against this person for the “better part of a year”,  he was last night notified “that the person was visited, made known they’d been identified, and that the only reason they weren’t being charged is because we decided not to.

“I suspect the person is reading this – you’re welcome for that. We figured as it stands, the humiliation of knowing that we know who you are, and how much time and effort you put in (seriously, it’d be impressive if it wasn’t so, so embarrassing), was punishment enough.”

He rounds out the post by speaking to the person directly, asking them to “do something constructive with your life.”

Illy’s partner Kirsty Boskemper-Irwin has also made a post via Instagram in relation to the issue, speaking on how the cyber-stalker has affected her personally.

“As time went on this the behaviour turn[ed] extremely vindictive & escalated to a level I didn’t think any human would go to, to wreak havoc on a person that THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW,” she wrote.

She alleges that daily, the troll would wrote comments on their personal and her business Instagram posts, created fake accounts to “report” fake news about her relationship, and even so far as doxxing her by posting her address online.

She also claims that they sent false reports to the police about Boskemper-Irwin allegedly breaking COVID restrictions.

“I felt this person would stop at nothing to humiliate me & cause pain, which is why I then decided to take the matter to the police. I’m not going to sugar coat it, it was an extremely long & tedious process.”

“They gave our case to a private investigator & after a lot of work, time & help from many parties, on the 15th Dec the PI contacted me with the person responsible. We have known for 8months now who this person is, as they continue to write on my posts.

“We have decided the humiliation of this person knowing that we know who they are now is enough justice for us. We did however have the option to take the case further.

“This is me telling you, enough is enough & please just go enjoy the real world.”
