The Killers are still riding the wave from the release of their sixth studio album Imploding The Mirage, but a new social media post from the band has fans thinking there’s another album already on the horizon.
Taking to social media earlier this morning, the band posted what appears to be an 11 song tracklist with the words ‘A List’ scribbled next to it.
Now at any other time this would be excitement enough, but the fact that Christmas Day falls on a Friday this year could mean that Brandon Flowers and co. are giving us a much-needed gift.
Despite only releasing Imploding The Mirage back in August, the band had previously spoken to NME about a new album they had already begun work on.
“You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are,” Flowers told NME back in August.
“We’re going to release another one in about 10 months…I had a lot of time on my hands. Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”
It hasn’t quite been ten months, but there’s no time like the present, right?
