Jack White will work with Welch Blue-eyed soul legend Tom Jones, according to the latest edition of MOJO Magazine, Jones will appear as a part of Third Man Records’ infamous Blue Series, which previously had Sydney’s Lanie Lane with her Ain’t Hungry 7″.

Other artists involved with the series last year included Insane Clown Posse covering Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Stephen Colbert singing lead vocals with Black Belles.

Jones recently re-recorded Jezebel, a track from his 2002 album Mr. Jones, it also tackled blues great Howlin’ Wolf with a cover of Evil.

A release date has not been set for the collaboration’s release, but the recording sessions apparently went well. White said of the 71-year-old pop icon, “He impressed the shit out of everybody.”
