Julia Jacklin has announced her first ever solo headline Australian tour for July and August. She plans to play 17 shows across the two months down the east coast.
Included in the tour will be her third attempt at her Sydney Recital Hall show, which has already been postponed twice due to Covid, and replacement shows in Melbourne after RISING festival was cancelled in May.
She’ll play a series of intimate regional gigs too, as well as a notably rare set in the Blue Mountains, where she grew up.
Jacklin will play songs from her two records: 2016’s Don’t Let The Kids Win and 2019’s Crushing. She’ll play tracks from the albums alongside brand new works and first-time performances of her 2020 Sub Pop 7″ ‘to Perth before the border Closes / Cry’ and her Christmas anthem ‘Baby Jesus is Nobody’s Baby Now’.
It’s going to be an immensely special tour, being her first solo headline tour, and with such an extensive back catalogue, these shows are going to be incredibly special.
Tickets go on sale Friday, 2nd July at 12PM via her official website.
