U.S singer-songwriter Julien Baker has announced that she will be landing on Australian soil to tour for the very first time, come November this year.
Kicking things off in Brisbane on Friday, 18th November, Baker will hit the Aussie festival circuit, playing the Mullum Music Festival, Queenscliff Music Festival as well as Fairgrounds Festival, as well as making stops in Sydney, Melbourne and Freemantle.
Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Baker released her debut album Sprained Ankle in December 2015. Her stripped back, intimate style of writing and playing is steadily building a loyal following, ever since the unveiling of her debut. Her music draws on ’90s indie rock and country, with honest lyrics and heart-wrenchingly pure vocals.
Her visit to Australia follows on from shows in North America, the U.K and Europe, after supporting bands such as The National and Band Of Horses. She also made appearances at Austin City Limits, Primavera Sound and Newport Folk Festival.
