Justin Bieber Incites Black Keys Backlash

The nerve of Justin Bieber! After being something of a sore loser on account of pulling (count ’em) zero Grammy nominations, The Biebs has now directed his frustration at The Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney, tweeting out to his millions of followers that Carney “should be slapped around”.

Despite the fact that he tried to play down the statement by adding “Haha”, we can tell Bieber’s hurting. The singer’s frustration was vented at the extremely popular drummer via Twitter after Carney, in a post-Grammy interview, told TMZ that Bieber didn’t deserve a Grammy. “Grammys are for like music, not for money…and he’s making a lot of money. He should be happy,” he said.

It’s safe to say The Black Keys can cross most Beliebers off their fan list – we know how seriously Bieber’s followers take his instructions (even if they turn out not to be from him). Carney even had the good grace to retweet some of the funnier threats he’d been receiving from the duped horde, which you can check out below thanks to AV Club.

The pop sensation tried to steal the thunder from the wholly Bieber-free Grammy ceremony by live streaming a performance of some brand-new material but, alas, the powers that be had other plans and the project was cancelled due to technical problems. Massive frowny face for Biebs.
