Kanye West Rants On Stage: “Don’t Expect To See Me At The Grammys This Year.”

After turning up looking like the abominable snowman last night, the second night of Kanye West‘s three-night stand in Atlantic City provided another memorable incident. But this time, instead of his on-stage attire, it was his mouth doing the talking.

As has become a bit of a hallmark of his shows, West broke into a mid-performance rant about pretty much anything that popped into his head. Those of you who saw him at the Big Day Out this year will know what I’m talking about.

And, as Consequence of Sound reports, last night was a real pearler, as he went on for about five minutes discussing his fashion plans and dissing the media, the critics, and the organisers of the Grammys.

The latter of those topics got a few eyebrows raised, with Ye’ expressing how bummed he was that he lost to Maroon5 for Best New Artist a few years back. He also went on to say how his label G.O.O.D. Music’s 18 Grammy nominations were only in “black categories”, and that he couldn’t understand why his albums Watch the Throne (with Jay-Z) or My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy didn’t get nominated for Album of the Year.

Kanye finished off by saying, “So don’t expect to see me at the Grammys this year, y’know mean?! Y’know mean?!”
