Kanye West Takes On Taylor Swift, Macklemore, Beck & The Grammys, Again

It’s difficult to pin-point exactly what Kanye’s biggest beef is this year, having slammed everyone from Silicon Valley to the state of the music industry to Taylor Swift and now he’s continued by taking on The Grammys, Macklemore, Beck and Tay Tay once again.

The rapper has been at a club in LA, appearing at an album release party for Yo Gotti and took the opportunity to explain the Taylor situation, in which she denied ever approving his Taylor-referencing track Famous – a song from The Life Of Pablo that claims, “I made that bitch famous.”

“I called Taylor!” Yeezy said at the LA club, as reported by Time.

“I said, ‘Look, Taylor. I spoke to my wife about it.’ I said, ‘How do you feel about this line, Taylor?’ I was like ‘Taylor, I feel like me and you still might sex.’ She was like ‘Ooo!’”

That’s not exactly how it went according to Swift. A rep for the megastar said that she cautioned him against, “releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.”

“Then she won and said something completely different,” Kanye continued.

“She ain’t cool no more. She had two seconds to be cool and she fucked it up.”

According to E! Kanye went onto once again reiterate that Macklemore is not as good as him but is a “nice guy”. Once again, he took a swipe at Beck who took home the Grammy for Album of the Year last year saying that nobody had heard the record and yet he still won the award. He originally stormed the stage when Beck won the award.

West has been nominated for a Grammy every year since 2008, however, he hasn’t won one since 2013 and has also never won Album Of The Year before. It’s not just his awards that he’s concerned about though.

He took to Twitter this morning to continue to critique the Grammys writing, “I feel the Grammy awarding system is way off and completely out of touch.”

And just in case they weren’t listening, he followed it up with an introduction writing, “Hi Grammys this is the most important living artist talking.”

Kanye’s biggest problem with this year’s awards were that Atlanta rapper Future didn’t perform at the awards even though “he owned the clubs last year” and also that director Dexter Navy didn’t win Best Video for A$AP Rocky’s L$D. That award was won by Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood video.

While Ye has “a problem with the Grammys” he’s willing to help Neil Portnow, the CEO of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, fix it.

“I would like to sit down with Neil Portnow right now,” he wrote.

Surprisingly, Portnow is actually down for it. He wrote an email to The Fader calling Kanye “a creative pioneer.”

“I continue to welcome Kanye, personally, to engage in a direct and productive dialogue about the future of music and the important role that music creators play in shaping that future,” he wrote.

Yes, it’s been a huge morning for anybody that follows Yeezy and just in case the rants weren’t enough, you can also look forward to a new album. He only released The Life Of Pablo a fortnight ago, but tweeted today, “New album coming this summer.”
