Kanye’s Finally Given ‘Champions’ An Official Release So You Can Stop Listening To The Radio Rip

Kanye West has officially released Champions, the first single off his forthcoming G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Winter project featuring a hearty lineup of rappers.

The track features Big Sean, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Migos’ Quavo, Yo Gotti, and Desiigner and was premiered a week ago on an LA radio station. Up until now, radio rips of the track, stamped with the radio station’s watermarks, were floating around online but now we have the proper version.

Unlike The Life Of Pablo which was a TIDAL exclusive for about a month, Yeezy has dropped this one onto all streaming services, probably because everyone’s month of complimentary TIDAL ran out a month after he released TLOP.

When he premiered the song he hadn’t decided on a title yet but this release shows he’s gone with Champions which is just one letter off his Graduation track Champion.

Even though it’s an official release, it’s apparently not the final version of the track. Kanye says he’s got “a version of that song with 12 or 15 minutes.”

No word yet on when to expect the Cruel Winter project but knowing Kanye he probably won’t have any idea himself up until moments before he decided to drop it. It’s the follow-up to 2012’s Cruel Summer which featured Jay Z, Kid Cudi, Pusha T, DJ Khaled and more.
