In one fell swoop, Karnivool have made all of our Friday afternoons far more interesting, simultaneously announcing their brand-new album Asymmetry for a Monday, 19th July release, dropping a brand-new single and video, and also delivering the great news that they’ll be hitting the road for a national tour in the name of the record.
It’s been four long years since Karnivool’s groundbreaking debut release and the long wait is finally over. Performing at the worlds greatest festivals, and selling out their own headlining international gigs, it’s crazy to think how much the ‘Vool have accomplished in just one full-length’s time, and even crazier to think what is going to happen to the world once the super anticipated follow-up drops.
At the risk of serious cabin fever, the lads locked themselves up in a Byron Bay studio with producer Nick DiDia to create the next chapter in the career, and we will soon see what they’ve been up to this whole time. Asymmetry will be available in an array of different formats, and the first official single We Are can be experienced for the first time straightaway. Like, straightaway – it’s available now on iTunes, and we’ve got the official video below!
The album will hardly have time to collect dust before the band will be heading out in support of the release. The Asymmetry tour takes them through just about all major cities, bring with them their live performance which is sure to see the album tracks take a whole new form.
Just when you thought a Karnivool tour couldn’t get any more hectic, they will be bringing local metalcore globetrotters Northlane along for the ride. Tickets for all shows on sale Thursday, 20th June, 9am AEST. All tour dates are below.
