Katy Perry’s Reveals New Single ‘Lifetimes’ Inspired by Daughter Daisy

Katy Perry has revealed that her three-year-old daughter, Daisy, is the inspiration behind her upcoming single, “Lifetimes.” The 39-year-old pop star, who shares Daisy with fiancé Orlando Bloom, has been busy working on new music after the release of her last album, Smile, four years ago.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Katy shared that her daughter has deeply influenced her new track. “It’s funny how sometimes you’re searching for love in various places,” Katy said. “For me, it came in the form of Daisy.”

Katy explained that the song is a tribute to her daughter. “Every night before bed, I tell Daisy, ‘I love you,’ and ask, ‘Will you find me in every lifetime?’ She always replies, ‘Yes,'” Katy shared.

The singer also mentioned how Daisy’s presence has filled a void in her life. “The love I was missing, all the challenges I faced looking for this view, came to me when Daisy entered my life. If you keep searching, you will find this kind of love too,” Katy added.

This announcement comes after Katy’s previous single, “Woman’s World,” faced criticism for its collaboration with Dr. Luke, who has been accused of sexual misconduct. Fans were disappointed by the track’s lyrics and its empowerment message.

Katy’s new album, 143, will be her seventh studio release and is set to drop on September 20. The single “Lifetimes” will be available on August 9, giving fans a glimpse into her personal life and her journey as a mother.
