C-town rapper Kerser has fired back at a recent verse from his old mate 360 but rather than just the odd one-liner Kerse has gone all out, dropping a full diss track titled Old Matt, adding another colourful chapter in the ongoing feud between the two.
This is 2013 Australia we’re talking about, not Compton circa 1988 so, rather than threatening violence or referencing album sales or even ‘bitches’, Kerser sticks to the essentials – YouTube views. Say what you will, but those are the numbers that talk these days.
For the official clip to the track, Kerser performs at a Go Kart circuit in Sydney’s south-west suburb of Minto, allegedly where 360 received a rather…ahem…intimate injury some time ago. You’ll have to watch to find out.
And if you figured that would be the most offensive thing here, you’re mistaken. From family to friends to relationships to physical health, no topic is taboo for the young MC who lets rip at anything and everything related to 360.
The two rappers first took their beef public when they went up against each other in a rap battle in January last year – a constant reference point during this song.
Since then Kerser has been quick to remind people it wasn’t the spill over hype from 360 that broke him, but rather his own talent. Then he goes and releases this track. Confusing. Which one of the two performed at Lollapalooza? I forget…
UPDATE: Aaaaand here’s what set Kerser off – “a snapped neck doesn’t need snapping again” lawl
