Kylie Minogue And Will.I.Am Join The Voice

Reports have surfaced that Channel Nine have confirmed the addition of Kylie Minogue and Will.I.Am as coaches for the 2014 season of popular television singing competition The Voice, having previously served as coaches on the UK version of the show.

The two will now join Voice veterans Ricky Martin and Joel Madden, who’ve sat in the red chairs for the last two seasons of the show. Deltra Goodrem will be moved from the panel to join Madden as a coach on the debut season of The Voice Kids, which features the talents of kids aged 8 to 14.

“It is an honour to join The Voice Australia as a Coach working alongside Kylie Minogue, Ricky Martin and Joel Madden,” said Will.I.Am, as reported by News Corp. “Australia is a highly creative country and a place with many good memories that have shaped my music career.”

“I am so excited to be coming home and being a coach on The Voice,” Minogue said. “I look forward to spending time in Australia, getting up close and personal with new talent and working alongside the three amazing artists: Ricky, Joel and will.i.am.”

While Channel Nine are yet to unveil who will fill the remaining chairs, Seal will be taking a break from the show to focus on his upcoming album, “a TV and internet project,” and to spend time with his family, saying, “I wish all the Coaches and contestants well.”
