Last Dinosaurs are gearing up for the release of their forthcoming sophomore album, Wellness, by delivering a brand new single and announcing a string of national tour dates.
The Brisbane indie popsters’ national Wellness tour will see them headline some of the biggest venues of their career to date, complete with all ages and under 18’s shows.
The foursome will kick things off on Friday, 25th September in their hometown of Bris Vegas, before heading off to Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra and Perth, armed with their brand new record.
Fans’ newest lick of Wellness comes in the form of Apollo, a danceable pop number, which lead singer and guitarist Sean Caskey has likened to the movie The Matrix.
“It’s about the scene… when Neo is offered the red pill and the blue pill by Morpheus,” he explains. “The moment in time when someone who’s curious about something more, to take the dive on the edge of uncertainty into an alternative life.”
Apollo follows previous single, Evie, which also saw the band tour and sell the shit out of multiple venues.
Wellness was produced by the great Scott Horscroft (Silverchair, The Presets, Empire of the Sun) and is due to hit shelves on August 28th.
Tickets to Last Dinosaurs’ national Wellness tour go on sale from 9am, Wednesday July 22nd, with special guest artists to be announced shortly.
In the meantime, lucky punters who managed to snare tickets to the sold-out Splendour In The Grass festival can catch the fellas performing on the Amphitheatre stage on Sunday, July 26th, or else at the Brisbane pre-party the previous Thursday.
