Late AC/DC Guitarist Malcolm Young Will Reportedly Feature On Band’s New Album

Gone but not forgotten, AC/DC axeman Malcolm Young is reportedly set to appear on every track on the iconic outfit’s forthcoming record.

JAM Magazine claims it has heard details from a “reliable source inside the AC/DC camp” confirming that the departed Young will appear as a rhythm guitarist for the group’s follow-up to 2014’s Rock or Bust.

Of course, with Malcolm no longer in the picture to work the magic himself, the group are reportedly opting to employ unused recordings collected over the course of a decade to finish the job.

Not every artist leaves behind a wealth of unused material in their wake, but if JAM’s source is to be believed, during the five years prior to 15th album Black Ice, Angus and Malcolm worked on “hundreds” of songs together.

Having gone over these recordings, brother Angus has reportedly dug out what he believes to be the best and taken them into the studio with Phil Rudd, Cliff Williams and — wait for it — Brian Johnson!

It is unknown if Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose, who’s gone on record stating his intent to join the band permanently after filling in for Johnson on tour, has been involved in any of this.

The group have yet to make an official announcement as to the existence of the rumoured record.

Dirty deeds from beyond the grave? It sounds a little too good to be true, doesn’t it? But colour us intrigued.
