Aussie rockers The Laurels have announced that they’re heading out on the road in support of their forthcoming second album Sonicology.
The record is out on 14th October, and less than a week after that the group will begin a huge 13-date tour, kicking off in Coogee and making its way all across the country.
It’s been a long time in-between drinks for The Laurels after releasing their debut album Plains four years ago. Following relentless touring, the band decided to shake up the way they make music, looking at old school hip hop producers for inspiration.
The group bought old hardware samplers, synthesizers and updated their record collection with bargain bin finds to deliver a funky, reinvented sound for album number two.
It’ll be interesting to see how they blend the old with the new, and you’ll find out exactly how they do it in October or November when they’re on the road. Check out all their upcoming tour dates, below.
