Liam Gallagher has talked about his feud with his brother, Noel (again) in an interview. This time, he says he’s convinced his brother doesn’t like him.
It all started when Noel had a chat to The Sun, earlier this month. He had a rant about young fans that showed up to his High Flying Birds shows and requested Oasis songs, saying, “The new stuff that I am doing they fucking hate it. Which makes me want to do it more. You little fucking idiot, you are only 15.”
Noel credited the doco Supersonic for the spike in interest. Liam Gallagher hit back at him for “slagging off” the fans.
Liam says that while he previously had thought Noel loved him deep down, he no longer believes it.
“People ask me all the time when is Oasis coming back? It doesn’t look good right now. I’m beginning to believe that Noel doesn’t really like me.
“I always thought that when he messed with me he was joking, that he really loved me. But I have the feeling that it is true that he does not like me. It is a pity. I love him,” he said in an interview with El Pais’ Icon magazine.
He continued to say that he doesn’t know what’s up with Noel.
“He is not happy doing cosmic pop. He is not happy being the leader. He is not happy having all the money. He is not happy with his beautiful girlfriend. He is not happy with his £80 million pounds. He is not happy with anything. What the hell makes you happy? He will end up playing in pubs because Oasis fans are going to end up to his nose.”
Liam Gallagher’s new solo album Why Me? Why Not is set for release on September 20th. He’ll return to Australia later this year for a string of tour dates and festival sets.
Anyway, here’s ‘Wonderwall’.
