Linkin Park have shared the official lyric video for Until It’s Gone, the latest cut to be taken from their forthcoming sixth studio album The Hunting Party — the follow-up to 2012’s Living Things — following the release of Guilty All The Same, a collaboration with legendary MC Rakim, in March.
Late last month, the band revealed the full tracklist for the new album, confirming the appearances of Helmet frontman Page Hamilton, System of a Down guitarist Daron Malakian, and revealing a previously unknown collaboration with Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello.
Speaking to Noisey last month, vocalist Mike Shinoda said the album is a set of songs to inspire the band members’ “15-year-old selves” and a reaction to the current, stale musical landscape, which he describes as being dominated by bands like “Haim or CHVRCHES or Vampire Weekend.”
“I turn on the rock station in LA and it sounds like Disney commercial music,” Shinoda told Noisey. “I’m confused by that. The dude from Foster the People was literally a jingle writer. No disrespect, but for me to make that stuff was [out of the question]… We wanted to impress our inner teenager.”
