Indie-folk troubadour / occasional children’s author Josh Pyke is back on the guitar, kicking off the next phase of his music career with new single ‘Circle Of Light’.
A far cry from the croonings of ‘The Summer’ or hoe-down of ‘Leeward Side’, ‘Circle Of Light’ is a summery slice of folk-rock, complete with a kaleidoscopic video mixing trippy animations with a dancing Pyke, and a few vintage home video reels thrown in for good measure. Check it out below.
“I belted it out in my studio by myself, smashing the drums, and singing with a handheld mic and some sweet moves,” said Pyke on his Instagram.
“This is a song born from trying to understand the things that linger in the part of your consciousness that exists somewhere between sleep and waking up.
Go deep my friends, go deep.
JPxx”

‘Circle Of Light’ is the first taste of Pyke’s new album To Find Happiness, due out March 18 next year.No doubt we’ll be able to see Pyke cutting some of the moves from the above video on stage when (we assume) he takes the road next year.
