The Kills, in the country last week for Splendour in the Grass and side shows, also recorded a live acoustic session for Triple J. During the session they performed an acoustic version of their song Satellite, from latest album Blood Pressures, as well as a curious choice of cover version: One Silver Dollar, as sung by Marilyn Monroe in the 1954 film River Of No Return.
The Kills, complete with newly-wed Jamie Hince, also played the Fuji Rock Festival over the weekend, before heading back to the US and Europe for dates in August, including an appearance at the UK’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
