Listen To Architects’ Cathartic New Single ‘Dead Butterflies’

UK metalcore stalwarts Architects are currently gearing up to release their ninth (!) studio album For Those That Wish to Exist, and they’ve now shared the album’s latest single, ‘Dead Butterflies’.

It’s the third track the band have released ahead of For Those That Wish to Exist arriving next month, having already previewed the album with singles ‘Black Lungs’ and ‘Animals’.

The new single arrives alongside a music video filmed at Royal Albert Hall in London last year, during the band’s live-streamed concert at the legendary venue in November – watch that below.

The self-produced For Those That Wish to Exist will follow Architects’ 2018 album Holy Hell, and features collaborations with the likes of Parkway Drive, Biffy Clyro and Royal Blood.

“This album was me looking at our inability to change to a way of life that would sustain the human race and save the planet,” explained the band’s Dan Searle in a statement.

“I wanted to look in the mirror and ask ourselves the question of what are we going to do, as opposed to trying to point the finger at politicians. Change has to start on a personal level. The world has developed a culture of wanting someone else to deal with it, when we need to take our own responsibility. It has to start there.”

Watch Architects’ video for ‘Dead Butterflies’ below. For Those That Wish to Exist is out Friday, 26th February – pre-orders are available here.
