Listen To ‘Closer To Grey’, The First New Album From Chromatics In Seven Years

Chromatics fans, you can finally stop holding your breath.

The synth-pop outfit have released their first new LP in seven long years with Closer To Grey, which is out today.

The new album is the first from the band since 2012’s Kill for Love, and comes after years of anticipation from fans concerning the as of yet still unreleased Dear Tommy project, which was announced all the way back in 2014.

The new album includes the title track which was released in 2014, along with a cover of the Simon and Garfunkel classic ‘The Sound of Silence’.

While it’s the first new studio album from the quartet in that time, it’s not the first new music we’ve heard this year from Chromatics. They’ve released singles ‘Time Rider’ and a cover of Jackson C. Frank’s ‘I Want To Be Alone’, along with a cover of the Hole song ‘Petals’ for horror film The Perfection.

There’s still no word yet on the long-gestating Dear Tommy as to when – or if – it’s set to see the light of day. As for now, however, you can stream Closer To Grey via Spotify below.
