We’re less than a month away from the first Crowded House album in a decade, and today they’ve given fans another taste of it with new single ‘Playing With Fire’.
‘Playing With Fire’ marks the third taste we’ve heard from the band’s highly anticipated album Dreamers Are Waiting, following on from 2020’s ‘Whatever You Want’ and 2021’s ‘To The Island’.
“This song was formed out of a Crowded House jam, live in the studio but then evolved its character through many twists and turns during quarantine in 2020,” Neil Finn said of the song.
“‘Playing With Fire’ carries within it the contradiction I often feel on joyous occasions, the presence of hope together with an impending sense of doom.”
The band also recently played special ANZAC Day event Music From The Home Front, just after they shared a special Tame Impala remix of ‘To The Island’.
Dreamers Are Waiting is out on Friday, 4th June.
