Listen To Florence & The Machine’s New Song, ‘Jenny Of Oldstones’, For ‘Game Of Thrones’

If you haven’t watched today’s episode of Game Of Thrones, then fear not because this is (mostly) a spoiler free zone. But, what we are going to spoil for you is that S8E2’s closing credits is soundtracked by a brand new Florence & The Machine song, ‘Jenny Of Oldstones’.

The song is technically a cover of a song George R. R. Martin put into the A Song Of Ice & Fire series as ‘Jenny’s Song’, which the HBO show is based off, although the lyrics were never known.

Now, with a minor spoiler alert, character Podrick Payne sings a snippet of the song in the episode, before we hear the Florence version during the episode’s closing credits. The entire lyric video for the song has been released on YouTube since.

Florence & The Machine are just the latest major music act to be associated with the series’ final season. There’s a whole bloody album inspired by the series coming this Friday, called For The Throne. It features the already released single ‘Power Is Power’ by Travis Scott, The Weeknd and SZA, as well as yet-to-be-heard songs by The National, Mumford & Sons, Matt Bellamy and more.

Listen to ‘Jenny Of Oldstones’ below.
