Avant-garde pop force Montaigne is gearing up to release her highly anticipated second album Complex, and now she has given us another taste of it with new track ‘Love Might Be Found (Volcano)’.
While recently released single ‘Ready’ is a fiery, powerful anthem, ‘Love Might Be Found’ is a synth-driven banger that is festival ready. Her vocal gymnastics are dizzying but impressive, and the fusion of strings, percussion and synths makes for a guaranteed repeat listen.
Of the song, Montaigne says, “I made this song with Wynne Bennett who is a fire ball and was really easy to work with. It was based on a mutual interest in the song ‘Enjoy’ by Bjork, so essentially we decided to make a Montaigne/Wynne version of the song.
“I’m really proud of how it came out. It’s like my version of ‘Groovejet’ by Spiller – the narrative are sort of parallel to each other.”
Montaigne will be taking Complex on tour around the country later this year. All those details can be found here.
Complex is out Friday, 30th August.
